Quality and inspection — eleven certifications, an in-house lab, and the documents your auditor asks for

Corporate buyers don't buy a label or a box; they buy confidence that every lot will match, pass the retailer's, importer's or safety certifier's checks, and be backed by documents when asked. Mae Mae's quality system is built on the full set of standards and certificates below, added one by one as global customers required them. All of them cover every product group at the main factory, and all are Mae Mae's own certificates.

Laboratory

How we inspect

Every job passes three layers: prepress file, barcode and colour-value checks before printing · in production colour measurement and offline print-inspection systems · before dispatch AQL sampling to the level agreed with you, barcode grading, and physical testing in the lab when required → Inspection process in detail

Laboratory

The factory lab and instruments

We do not recommend a material we have not tested. Before a label or folding carton goes into production, the factory lab checks it against the conditions it will actually meet: adhesion at 90° and 180°, rub and scuff, heat in the oven, humidity in the chamber, initial tack on the real surface.

Print quality is measured, not judged by eye. A print-quality inspection system reads every job; a colour densitometer, dot meter and colour-assessment cabinet keep colour to the recorded values; a barcode grader confirms every code scans at grade A or B; a video measuring machine and XRF analyser verify dimensions and material composition.

Folding cartons are tested for the journey: box compression, edge crush and bursting strength, so the box survives the pallet, the truck and the shelf. Test reports are prepared to your requirement.

FAQ

Do the certifications cover all products?

Yes — every product group at the main factory: labels, folding cartons and print.

Can I get certificates for my audit?

Yes — request by email; documents within one business day.

Can we set our own AQL?

Yes — we inspect to the AQL agreed with you and report per lot on request.

Can you test materials before production?

Yes — the lab tests adhesion, rub, heat and humidity to your conditions, with a report.

Do you accept customer factory audits?

Yes — by appointment through the sales team.

Will the printed colour match my screen / Pantone?

Not your screen — every monitor shows colour differently. We match to your Pantone reference with an industrial spectrophotometer, within the colour tolerance you agree with us, and record the values so every reorder matches.

Do you grade barcodes? Which grade?

Yes. Every barcode is verified on a grader and our internal acceptance level is grade A or B.

What does FSC / FSSC 22000 mean for my packaging?

FSSC 22000 means the factory runs a certified food-safety management system, so your labels and cartons are produced under controlled hygiene with no contamination risk to the food product. FSC® means the paper and board can be traced to responsibly managed forests (License Code FSC-C149393).

What is AQL and what level do you inspect to?

AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) is the sampling standard used to inspect every lot before dispatch: a sample is drawn from the lot and the lot is released only if defects stay below the agreed level. Our final inspection runs at AQL 0.1 (General Inspection Level II) — lots up to 150 pieces are inspected 100 % — and incoming materials are checked at AQL 1.0 (Special Level S-1). Tighter levels can be agreed for your specification.

Can you support our supplier audit / send certificates?

Yes. Certificates, per-lot inspection reports and material documents are sent within one business day of your request, and customer audits at the factory are welcome by appointment.

Do you have eco-friendly / recyclable options?

Yes. We offer FSC®-certified paper and board (License Code FSC-C149393), including recycled-content grades, and water-based inks on our digital label presses.
